Patara Elephant Farm: Baby Elephant For A Day

Overview

If you’re looking for a meaningful and educational experience with elephants, Patara’s “Baby Elephant For A Day” is an excellent choice. This activity focuses on caring for our pregnant elephants and mothers with small babies while giving you the opportunity to learn about our conservation philosophy of “Elephant Conservation in Action”.

During your time with us, you’ll participate in our daily health care, where you’ll check the health of the elephants, feed them, walk them, and take them to the water for drinking and bathing. You’ll also be able to observe how the elephants interact with their families in their natural environment. Our knowledgeable staff is available to educate you on the daily care of the elephants.

Please note that you’ll not be able to ride the elephants during this activity. It’s suitable for all ages, whether you’re with friends, family or your partner.

Morning Session:

• Pick-up time: 07:30 – 07:45 AM from your accommodation in Chiang Mai’s Old City
• Duration: 5-6 hours
• Departure from the elephant farm at 12:00 PM

Afternoon Session:

• Pick-up time: 01:00 – 01:30 PM from your accommodation in Chiang Mai’s Old City
• Duration: 4-5 hours
• Departure from the elephant farm at 5:30 PM

Please note that the duration of the program may vary slightly depending on traffic conditions and other factors.

During both sessions, you will enjoy the following activities:

Elephant skin care: Learn how to care for elephant skin.

Playtime with baby elephant: Interact and communicate with a playful baby elephant to understand its behavior and build a deeper relationship with it.

Swim with elephants: Cool off with the elephants by taking a refreshing swim together in a nearby river or lake.

Feeding: Get up close and personal with elephants as you feed them fruits and vegetables and learn about their dietary needs.

A very special and educational excursion with elephants: Get to know these majestic animals and their role in Thai culture better through this intense and educational experience.
