We will be fishing for the Giant Snakehead fish as well as some Jungle Perch, both fish are known to put up a good fight when caught – so be prepared for the thrill of the hunt! Chiang Mai is home to many bodies of water, including lakes and reservoirs, that are the habitat for these predator fish. These two are the most popular fish for anglers and hobby fishermen that enjoy lure fishing.

Throw out a lure and wait for the Giant Snakehead or the Jungle Perch to take hold and make your day. Some of our favorite lakes to find these fish are the beautiful Mae Kuang reservoir and the breathtaking bodies of water. These are just two of the many great waters for lure fishing in Chiang Mai.
