About the Two Day Chiang Mai Jungle Trekking Tour

This two day one night trek in Mae Taeng begins with a scenic drive through the countryside of Northern Thailand. Your first stop will be at a butterfly and orchid farm, which is home to many insect and flower species native to Thailand. Next you’ll refuel with a local Thai lunch before beginning your hike into the jungle. Depending on your pace, the trek will last roughly two hours. Along the nature trail you can expect to find a wide variety of tropical plants, flowers, and tiny creatures before arriving at a hill tribe village in the late afternoon. That evening you can relax in the quiet countryside and eat a hot, healthy Thai meal.

The second day’s itinerary begins with a simple breakfast of toast, eggs, and tea or coffee before meeting an elephant family. Feed these gentle giants their favorite fruit snacks and give them a refreshing bath in the nearby freshwater river. Afterwards, say goodbye and then visit a waterfall before taking a break for lunch. Once you’ve refueled and rested, you’ll continue with another two hour hike into the forest. The final activities are on the river: white water rafting followed by bamboo rafting down the Mae Taeng. After changing into dry clothing, sit back and relax on your ride back to Chiang Mai.
