This 2-day program is a trek through the lush green forest where you can not discover only the purity of the evergreen forest on mountain but also visit the Hill Tribe Villages of the Hmong and the Karen as well as stunning waterfalls.

Day 1
Start the trip by taking private transportation to a Hmong village. There is a brief stop at a market for you to buy some food supplies or other necessities for this trip. Then, begin your first trek, walking uphill for three hours through the verdant forest of grand old trees and fresh air. A comfortable break and lunch will be at a breathtaking view point that is 2,300 meters from sea level which almost reaches the highest peak of the mountain and offers a beautiful panoramic view of Doi Inthanon National Park. Next, a three-hour trek will take you to a Karen village where dinner and accommodation are provided.

Day 2
Start a relaxing day with breakfast and enjoy a 3-hour trek through the peaceful jungle to an impressive waterfall where you can enjoy swimming and lunch. Then, it is about a 2-3 hour trek to a Shan village. You return to Chiang Mai around 6PM.

  • it is really a trekking trip? Is there a lot of walking?

    Yes, this trip is really a trekking trip. We will walk about 5 - 6 hours per day.

  • Can you store luggage until the end of the trek?

    Yes. You can keep your luggage at our trekking operator partner office. Please inform our tour guide on date of tour.

  • Can I trek during the rainy season?

    Yes, but bring rain gear with you!

  • Will we reach the highest peak of Doi Inthanon?

    No, we do not reach to the highest peak of Doi Inthanon, which is 2,565 meters above sea level. We will only be able to get about 2,300 meters above sea level on Doi Inthanon.

  • What is the overnight accommodation like?

    You will stay in a bamboo cottage.

  • What type of food is served on the trek?

    All of the food is local Thai cuisine, but we can make sure to provide vegetarian and halaal meals. Please let us know prior to your trip if you have special dietary requirements.

  • What are the overnight facilities during the trek?

    Our overnight stay will be at a local village, with use of a basic toilet. We will provide mattress, blanket, and pillow. The night will be spent in candlelight, near a wood fire for warmth and light.
